“Brooklyn-based furniture designer Richard Velloso drew inspiration from the iconic Manhattan Bridge when he created this dining table, made from a 6 foot long piece of drift wood that he found on the beach beneath the bridge and hot-rolled steel. He named the piece “An Ode to the Manhattan Bridge” and it measures seven-plus feet long and seats eight (or ten, if they know each other well). At first glance, one might think that the table’s surface is made of wood but slide a hand across its smooth, cool surface it becomes clear that it’s metal.”
